Walmart Expands Drone Delivery to Atlanta

Walmart is now expanding its drone delivery program to Atlanta, the company’s third city with drone delivery services. Walmart uses drones from Wing, owned by Google parent company Alphabet. The retail chain also plans to roll out the delivery service to Charlotte, Houston, Tampa, and Orlando soon. These drone deliveries can arrive as soon as 30 minutes after an order is placed, and can travel up to 60mph. You can check if drone delivery is available where you live here. It’s amazing to me that drone delivery is finally here, as it has been part of the news for more than a decade now. Hopefully, these drones will provide efficient and fast deliveries to everywhere where Walmart is in the next few years. This comes as the FAA loosened restrictions on drone deliveries, which I discussed in a previous post. I know I will be sure to try this service soon!
